This is vandalism, pure and simple. First immature and cowardly State students have the nerve to spray paint on the *memorial* bell tower, and now they tarnish this sign.
This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on NC State University. These students should be suspended outright.
Don't get your panties in a wad. Paint washes off. Vandalizing would involve something more like smashing the stone up, or carving obscenities into it, or leaving a nice crater where the ugly piece of crap sign used to be.

Well why don't you guys man up and build a free expression wall and then we will see what happens. Our campus is an easy target because you can't be prosecuted...whoever did the signs in CH obviously was risking a lot.
